The Half-Hour Puzzle
The Half-Hour Puzzle
Handcrafted from African Padauk and Canarywood, with a convenient tray made from Yellowheart.
Stewart T. Coffin's "Half-Hour" puzzle design (STC-29) is one of my favourites. Beyond the Cube solution (which he estimated would take an average puzzler a half-hour to solve - hence the name), there are many more really cool symmetrical solutions, a couple of which are shown here.
The solution to the Cube shape is provided with the puzzle. You'll need to figure out the others yourself, and maybe discover more solutions in the process! (If you're really stuck, don't hesitate to contact us, we'll give you some hints.)
Approximate dimensions of the Cube is 6.8cm by 6.8cm by 6.8cm (~2-5/8in x ~2-5/8in x ~2-5/8in), and the tray is 8.0cm by 8.0cm by 2.2cm (~3-1/8in x ~3-1/8in x ~7/8in).
(The old poker dice are for scale only, not included with the puzzle.)
